We take the confidentiality of your patient data extremely seriously.

We do share the information within the primary healthcare team so that we can assess and deliver the best care. We also use data within Salford Health Matters to monitor our service for quality and effectiveness.

When you are referred for example to hospital, we will share appropriate information with the agency or individual. We will assume your consent to this if you agree to the referral.

In certain circumstances, we have a legal right to share information about a named individual, for example to protect children from harm as well as notification of certain infectious diseases. These are legal obligations that over-ride our duty to any one person.
