| Nationally, many PCTs will cease to provide services directly, and will tender out their provider side in order to concen trate on their primary commissioning role. We feel that it is important that these changes lead to greater local involvement in service planning and delivery, and allow local clinicians to lead the development of services |
|
Here are some of our principles of practice:
- We will bring to our work an ethic of public service with the needs of the patient at the centre of everything we do
- We will involve patient representatives in our board structure and we will employ a community involvement lead to develop processes which will make sure that the voice of the people and communities we serve is heard
- We will work in an open and accountable way, and remember our accountability to the local population
- We will strive for the highest standards of delivery in all we do, and will reflect continually on our performance
|
|
- We will strive to be an excellent employer and investor in people, and we will expect a sense of service and vocation from our staff
- We will endeavour to provide beyond the boundaries of traditional practice to work in new areas where there is a direct health impact
